Medical and Dental admission is an important examination through the students who wants to admit in University level education after passing Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C) exam. In Bangladesh this admission test is very competitive as maximum students including medium to best quality try to admit in a Government Medical college or a Dental college. The second option is a
good quality Private or Non-Government medical college or Dental college in Bangladesh. Generally Medical Admission Test for MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) held on the last portion of a year that is at September to December of a year.

Last year the competition of Medical & Dental admission exam was very hard. Generally, this admission test follows MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) to identify the eligible students for admission into a Medical or Dental college in Bangladesh. Not only the MCQ result but also the result of S.S.C and H.S.C is added in form of a specific parameters.

Here is the common requirements of Medical admission test 2013

1.    Students must be Bangladeshi Citizen.
2.    Students who have passed the SSC / Equivalent Exam before 2009 need not to Apply.
3.    Students who have passed the HSC / Equivalent (with Physics, Chemistry, Biology) in 2011 and 2012.
4.    Total GPA 8.0 in SSC and HSC and GPA 3.5 in each of SSC and HSC and minimum GPA 3.50 in Biology.
5.    Hill Districts and Tribal candidates must have total GPA 7.0 in SSC and HSC and GPA 3.0 in each of SSC and HSC and minimum GPA 3.50 in Biology.
6.    For GCE: 05 (best five) Subjects in O-Level and 03 (three) subjects (Biology, Chemistry & Physics) in A-level. Must submit Equivalency Certificate from Health Department by depositing Tk. 1000/-

Admission test Procedure of MBBS and BDS admission test 2012-2013:

Total Marks: 200

•    100 marks form SSC & HSC GPA (SSC GPAX8= 40 & HSC GPA X12= 60)
•    Another 100 marks (MCQ) will be written test (Physics-20, Chemistry-25, Biology-30, English-15 & General Knowledge-10)
•    0.25 marks will be minus for each wrong answer.
